On May 24 and May 26, 2023, Tamil language newpspapers Thinakaran, Thinakkural, and Virakesari published several articles that contained violations pertaining to gender discrimination. These reports highlighted women when both women and men have been arrested over an offence, stereotyping women and assigning more blame to women.
